Niki Wahapa was born in Sydney and raised in Perth, Western Australia. She has a strong family heritage and link to New Zealand. Graduating in 2009 from Notre Dame University as a Registered Nurse, Niki later became inspired to write children’s books. She currently still lives in Perth, Australia, with her husband Mark and children, Riley, Alex, and Charlotte—who love to listen and review her work. She also has two big dogs, Tilly and Zara, who contribute to her narratives.

Javier Sempere is a Spanish illustrator and character-designer now based in Italy. With a background in animation, Javier works digitally, creating charismatic and funny characters with very graphic styles. Within his illustrations, Javier enjoys using basic shapes and plain designs but, above all, experimenting with different textures.
